Daurema participated in IPM Essen 2026, the global horticulture event in Germany, to showcase its molded cellulose containers and packaging solutions, recyclable and compostable, designed to meet the needs of producers and distributors in the green sector.
IPM Essen: a key event for European horticulture
IPM Essen is the world’s leading horticulture trade show, bringing together the entire plant value chain in Essen, Germany from producers to distributors and technology suppliers. The 2026 edition, held from January 27 to 30, featured nearly 1,400 international exhibitors and highlighted sustainable solutions for the production, logistics, and marketing of plants and plant-based products.
For the first time, Daurema showcased its molded cellulose packaging and container solutions a plant-based alternative to plastic packaging, recyclable through paper/cardboard channels and compostable. Based in Wattrelos, the French company designs and manufactures trays and pots made from cellulose fibers, particularly suited to the needs of producers, horticulturists, and distributors of fruits, vegetables, and plants.
Molded cellulose pots and trays for a more sustainable industry
At the Daurema booth, visitors were able to explore a range of molded cellulose pots and trays designed for horticulture, as well as examples of custom projects. These fiber-based containers are durable, compatible with production lines, and help reduce single-use plastics while fitting into recycling and composting initiatives.
The Daurema team used the trade show to engage with professionals about their projects, explore alternatives to plastic or wood, and co-develop technical, economic, and sustainable solutions tailored to each market’s requirements. This participation in IPM Essen 2026 reinforces Daurema’s commitment to a more circular and responsible horticulture sector, both in France and internationally.
